This suite of five photographs documents the Broadway production of one of the towering plays of the 21st-century, Arthur Miller’s crushing indictment of the American Dream, “Death of a salesman.” The original production, directed by Elia Kazan, with groundbreaking, expressionistic sets by Jo Mielziner, starred Lee J.
