Five postcards published by the " Librairie Spirite" in Liege, Belgium, c. 1910. Liege was a hub for spiritualism, and of particular interest is that three of the cards also bear stamps for stamp the "Fédération Spirite," an international organization which was also founded in Liege in 1923, and holds an annual conference on spiritualism. Arthur Conan Doyle, an early notable member of the Fédération Spirite, gave an infamous lecture in 1925 in which he blamed the cause of his faulty slide projexctions on ectoplasm.
