Included are fascinating photos of Matthew and members of his Black Hebrew congregation, both young and old.
Five of the photos were shot by the great American photographer W. Eugene Smith, while working for “Black Star” magazine. Interestingly, the sixth photograph is credited to his mother, Nettie L. Smith. A talented photographer herself, Nettie and Eugene Smith collaborated on photographic assignments in the early stages of his important career
