A compelling collection of mugshots and rapsheets which have been rephotographed and collated, documenting gangsters, crooks, wise-guys and bruisers affiliated with the notorious Los Angeles mob man Mickey Cohen.

Along with Cohen himself (seen in his arrest photo with a big shiner on his right eye), there are also photographs of notorious bootlegger and black-hander Jack Dragna; one-time acting boss of the Los Angeles Crime Family Aldena James Fratianno, AKA "Jimmy the Weasel"; Jimmy Rist, and many other Cohen associates. Many of the notes on the photographed pages specify the criminal’s relationship to Cohen.

The group was presumably put together by someone in law enforcement. However, the photographed notes on the pages contain a few errors. Cohen is identified as “Michael M. Cohen” and not Meyer Harris Cohen, his birth name. There is a note that was convicted for the slaying of Ike Shannon, not Maxie Shaman, the name of the actual victim. Regardless of the purpose of its creation, the collection is a fascinating visual survey of prominent figures of the West Coast criminal underworld.

There are thirty-five photos in the collection, including the two photos of the index pages. The second index page mainly consists of aliases for men already listed. The picture of Peter J. Howard, number 6. on the index page, is absent, and the rap-sheets for Tony Brancato and Jimmy Contratta do not have photographs.
