Large collection of photographs and related material documenting the Vagos M.C., with gritty, candid shots of the club's uninhibited activities up and down the highways and backroads of California in the late 1970s-80s.

The present album documents a number of Vagos chapters including San Bernardino, Victorville, and Central California, as well as a handful of other clubs such as the Monks and the Hessians, participating in various rides and rallies. While uncaptioned, it is apparent the majority of the action takes place in California, as evidenced by highway signs and notable saloons such as the Owl Tavern in Grass Valley. Included as well are numerous portraits of club members drinking beer, hanging with their ladies, giving themselves tattoos, and of course cruising the open roads.

Also included is a flyer for a Vagos St. Patrick's Day party in Las Vegas and some other biker accoutrements including a couple of belt buckles and a personalized Vagos leather wristband (not advisable to wear).

The Vagos is an outlaw motorcycle club founded in San Bernadino in 1965. While their emblem is an image of Loki, the Norse god of mischief, other aspects of the club's iconography represent the Mexican heritage of its founding members, such as their name (Spanish for "vagabond" or 'wanderer") and their club color of green. Today they are considered one of the more dangerous outlaw MC's in the US, but that shouldn't stop one from buying this collection.
