Rare group of 1880s views of Mandan, Dakota Territory, and the Badlands by the commercial photographer Zalmon Gilbert. Included are four views of a group of cowboys, who are ID'd in the Teddy Roosevelt Collection at Harvard as employees of the Marquis de Mores. There's also a great bird's eye view of Mandan with the newspaper building visible.
