A charming home-made album with sharp, artistically-composed photographs showing towns and natural views in the Shasta Cascade region between Fall River Mills, Shasta Co., and Adin, Modoc Co., the end of the 19th-century.
There are five views of the Fall river, including one showing a factory located on the bank of the river and one showing the river in wintertime, as well as a bird’s eye view of the nearby town of Fall River Mills. Located in the far north-eastern part of the county, the Fall River is a small river tributary to the Pit River.
There are also photos of the Pit, McCloud and Sacramento rivers, two photos of Clover Creek, two views of the nearby town of Adin, located in Modoc County, and a striking portrait of a rattlesnake, captioned “An Old Resident.”
There is an inscription on the inside cover, "With kind wishes X-Mas '94."
