A rare four-part panorama of Oakland, CA, seen from City Hall. This image was originally shot by Albert Wulzen, who composed a seven-part view of the city in 1879. This issue was printed around 1910, and shows panels four through seven of Wulzen's original work. It was published by Martin Behrman, a commercial artist and publisher who acquired 19th-century photos, negatives, and prints of the Bay Area and reproduced them in the early 20th-century. A popular aspect of his work was showing how the area looked before the devastating earthquake of 1906.
