A fun and informative homemade guidebook, this album offers a step-by-step method for female dental assistants when performing oral x-rays, and then developing the film in the dark room. The photographs show two women, sporting horn-rimmed glasses and impressive bee-hive hairdos, posed as assistant and patient. Accompanying each image are brief, straight-forward instructions, which begin by telling the reader to bring in the patient and “put her at ease” because “many people fear the dentist, and it is one of the dental assistant’s duty (sp) to relax them.”
