A scarce Engish-Ojibwe reader, published by the International Colportage Mission in Toronto. According to the cover, the title was also sold in French, German and Italian. In total, the dialects of Ojibwemowin comprise the second most commonly spoken First Nations language in Canada, after Cree. The translator was William Wawanosh, (ca. 1845-1907), who was appointed Indian Interpreter in 1870 and served as chief from 1874-1877 and again in 1899-1901.
