An other-worldly collection of twelve xeroxed proofs for dense, psychedelic drawings done by Phil Savage, a California outsider artist.
Phillip J. Savage was a Sacramento-based artist with a genius-level IQ, who battled Schizophrenia most of his adult life. In 1976, he was institutionalized after an armed standoff with Sacramento police, which ended in the police smashing down the door of his home with a battering ram. While institutionalized, he met Dr. Donald Uhlin, an art therapy professor to whom these proofs were originally sent. They are housed in a manilla envelope with a note to Uhlin, suggesting they could be produced as limited edition prints. The note is signed, "5 dimensionally yours - Phil."
