An attractive and vibrant double-sided advertisement for the Seick Manufacturing Co., a tent and awning company which operated in St. Joseph, Missouri at the end of the 19th-century.
On one side, there are numerous advertisements for canvas furniture products such as cots, lawn chairs, camp chairs, and other elaborate folding chairs, as well as accessories including wagon seat shades, umbrellas, and more.
The other side offers “all things needful for the presidential campaign.” These wares include plumes, wreaths, awnings of all kinds, “tasty and beautiful” tissue paper festooning, tri-colored bunting drapery, transparencies and banners with portraits of candidates, a “cane and silk flag with a telescope top” (for only 50 cents), and other political paraphernalia. Both sides are profusely illustrated with eye-catching designs.
